Bea Arthur dies
RIP Maude.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Beatrice Arthur, the tall, deep-voiced actress whose razor-sharp delivery of comedy lines made her a TV star in the hit shows "Maude" and "The Golden Girls" and who won a Tony Award for the musical "Mame," died Saturday. She was 86.Rocking that "arrogant Yankee fan" attitude.

RIP Bea. Thanks for all the laughs. You were one of the funniest ladies ever, and you were also a good dramatic actress when you needed to be.

Re: Bea Arthur dies
I remember as a very little kid, having asked my father if she was a man dressed as a woman....I think it was her voice that confused me. Last I saw her was on a Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson. She was pretty damned funny. May she rest in peace.

Golden Girls is a very funny show...she made the show. I had no idea she was that old...but I guess it makes sense.

Re: Bea Arthur dies
She had plastic surgery in real life, and to my knowledge, was the first TV actress who introduced having plastic surgery as part of the script. That was ground-breaking, IMO.

This is a clip of Bea Arthur on All In The Family. One of the funniest episodes of All In The Family that I could remember.
