Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
Agreed. He had an off-year last season and he's now 35.....it should be interesting to see where he goes next.

I believe I read/heard the hit will be $9M but I could be wrong.

Just amazing a guy with that much talent wears out his welcome wherever he goes.

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
I asked my Cowboys fan friend about this just now. His reply was, "I never liked him."

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
As much as a clubhouse cancer as he was, this still is a blow to the Cowboys, which is good news in my book.

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
Exactly, even though he is starting to decline, he still commands double coverage, which Witten greatly benefited from.

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
My guess will be the Oakland Raiders.
It's not the 27 World Championships that drive the New York Yankees. It's the 28th.
Every year is The Year. Go Yankees.

I think Dan Snyder is dumb enough.
Don't tease me, you know what I do for a living.

As a Giants fan I am extremely happy to hear this. The offense would have been very tough with Roy E Williams getting in a full off season and training camp. Owens is a problem, but I don't think he is THE problem. The fish rots from the head...Jones, Wade, and Garret. Players like Adam Jones, Tank Johnson, Newman, Romo, Wittten, and Williams were part of the circus as well.
I'm sure Cowboy fans would have loved to see Romo get in Owens face once. Roy E Williams is not even in T.O's ballpark as a WR threat, the rest of the NFC is certainly happy.

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
Agreed. The problem with the Cowboys is institutional, not just T.O. They're going to be much easier to defend against now.

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
This is tailor made for a Snyder/Cerrato signing in DC..
TO shows up in running pants, tank top and glasses and Rosenhaus talks about how he needs a new start and wants to prove his critics wrong.Beware the Bobcat!!!

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
I liked him and the Cowboys will feel the sting of his absence on the playing field. How much of a distraction was he? I don't really know, but I am a little shocked by the move.
OK, Romo, you better make me happy this season.Check it out

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
I see him hitting the Raiders or Bucs. Hell....maybe the Eagles if they're feeling stupid enough. They have SOME cap space after losing pretty much the whole damned secondary. And Donovan needs a receiver.....I don't know though.
Disco Stu:
Nick Swisher has agreed to a $56 mil, 4 year contract with the Cleveland Indians. Good riddance!!!

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
Which team is in worse shape between the Cowboys and Redskins? These two are both run by monkeys.
I have no association with "TEPLimey" at nomaas. Apparently a very disturbed individual likes to get their rocks off on pretending they are me. Sad, really.

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
I think Indy could manage Owens, a QB with Manning's status may help keep his bs in line.
Burns: I wonder if this Homer Nixon is any relation?
Smithers: Unlikely, sir. They spell and pronounce their names differently.

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
Why the hell would Indy want TO, when you have Wayne emerging as a big time player, and Anthony Gonzalez is a great complimentary piece. There is no way I would put Owens between those two recievers. Why take passes away from Wayne and give them to Owens?

Re: Cowboys release Terrell Owens
Eff it; go to the Bills. They're going nowhere without TO, with TO they might have a chance. No wait; Dick Jauron still coaching? Damn.
