It all looks delicious! Some TV doc said eating something like this a few times a year actually helps your body by shocking it into dealing with all the fat and calories. I like that advice.

If I remember correctly, it's kind of like getting a flu shot. Something happens that triggers action in your body to deal with the fatty food and high calorie...kind of like a re-set button. It was also characterized as a kind of good shock treatment. Nothing on a regular basis, but on a rare occasion. Could have actually been Dr. Oz that said this.

So the brain interprets it as famine and begins to slow down your metabolism to survive until the famine passes. Thats why you need to take a break from dieting (I don't remember exactly how much but I know its every couple weeks) as itll kickstart your metabolism again with the brain thinking food is available.

Yeah I've heard similar things. If you put yourself in a bubble and completely denied your body exposure to harmful allergens, foods, toxins, it actually is a horrible thing. Your boddy will shock if and when you ever are exposed. You need to develop a tolerance to things so if exposed in low doses you're doing yourself a service.

The first one listed, the deep fried smore on a stick, reminds me of a seafood festival our family went to in Georgia this past October. The seafood was great; the desserts fell into the "This is why you're fat" category. My teenage son insisted on getting some deep fried Oreos. I took a bite of one; it was one of the most disgusting things I've ever eaten (and I like plain Oreos.)

I generally fall into the camp that thinks bacon makes anything taste better but this is just overkill.

I wasn't particularly grossed out by any of those items although I will say that as I like donuts I don't I could eat a sloppy joe on a krispy kreme donut.
