Hi all
I am fairly new here but definitely not a new fan. As you can probably guess my favorite Yankee is Don Mattingly, but I also inherited a love of Mickey Mantle from my dad. I will tell you a short story to give you an idea how important this team is to me. (Sorry if i bore you.)
I was in a Las Vegas casino for the last game of the '96 series. After the game I literally ran to the nearest phone to call my dad back in PA. Our conversation was something like this-
"Dad?!"
"Baby! We did it. Finally!"
At that point we both burst into tears and were incapable of further speech for a while.
So, there you have it. I'm glad to be here.
