That was just awesome - it brought a tear to my eye - thanks for sharing that.

My brother called me from the airport in Washington last night to say goodbye - he's on his way back to Iraq/Afghanistan and will be back in late January after his 3rd child is born.

Awwwe - they remind me of how my two get when we come home - I can't imagine if we were away that long. Too sweet!

Vicki - I didn't know your brother was in the military - I will keep him in my prayers for a safe return.

I think I have something in my eye.

Vick, I did not know that either. I will keep him in my thoughts.

    This is so sweet!!!
I was in my home town a few weeks ago and I drove by one of my buddies who is 18 and made him stop because he was in Iraq for the last year. That was the best surprise as I had no idea he was in town!

Vick, best of luck to your bro.

Thanks everyone....I'm sorry. Didn't mean to turn this into Vicki's brother going back to Iraq but thanks so much. He is a Marine and served his time over there for several years, retired and now he's back......doing all kinds of stuff (he's with the NSA). He tells me it's not as dangerous as when he was actually a sniper. Not sure if that makes me feel good or bad.

That is the sweetest thing ever. Makes you remember how hard war is even on our pets. I'm so happy they have all been reunited.

I worked at the NSA during my last 15 months in the Army way back in 1982-83. Cool place to finish out my time in the service.

You did? Wow. And I never knew you were in the Army. Can you tell me what the "insiders" call NSA? My brother told me and I can't remember.....something like "no such address......" Is that right?

Wow...you're talking 25 years ago...I can't even remember what I had for dinner yesterday! Seriously, I don't remember if we had a catch phrase like that. The agency definitely kept a very low profile (I guess it still does!)
