I got to go Cano as TH. It could be Moose but haven't been enough occasions this year with a timely hit so I'll go offense. That got them rolling.
HM - Moose!
HM- Arod
and I agree, Meecham is brutal! bru- TAL

I disagree. After Bowa, I'd put Willie right up there. I remember during the championship years there was a sick stat given during one of the WS games that Willie had had only a really low (maybe it was even zero) number runners thrown out at the plate. Now of course that could happen if he never sent ANYONE, but that wasn't the case. I thought he was a very shrewd base coach. Certainly better than Bobby.

TH: Moose, of course. I have to look it up to be sure, but I think he's riding a streak of about 8 QS's in a row, if not more.
HM: Arod, Cano, and "Big Sexy" for doing what none of our regulars ever seem to do anymore.Congratulations Mike Mussina on your 20th win!

A hit with RISP is such a wonder with the yanks this year he is trying to cash in while he can.

Re: Team Hero: July 18, 2008 vs. A's
It was only his fourth in a row. On June 20th, he went eight innings but allowed four earned runs. Of course, the definition of a quality start is six or more innings pitched with three or fewer earned runs, for a maximum ERA of 4.50; and four earned runs over eight innings is an ERA of 4.50 as well; perhaps the definition of a quality start needs to be tweaked?
