In a few years they'll be putting out a new hat for every series. I love collecting official hats, but they're starting to dilute the uniqueness of them

These are the Yankees. Everything not tied down is for resale. And anything that is tied down will be available for resale as soon as Brandon Steiner gets his pudgy hands on some pliers

If you feel like spending $65 on a hat, the yankees team store had this one there today. I must admit, it's a pretty cool looking hat but it's something I would never wear. More of show piece in my opinion. The stitched autograph is my favorite part of the hat. Unfortunately it's on the bottom of the brim.

yup I said the same thing, was blown away by it so I picked one up. More of a show piece than wear it and sweat through it

I really wish New Era made caps that fit my tiny cranium. I hate it when cool caps come out and I can't wear them.

You're not missing anything. The authentic hats are very uncomfortable. I'd rather pay $10 for a flex fit one.

    Really?!
I'm so awfully late on this, but am browsing threads on my lunch break and caught this. I can't stop laughing at this. So ridiculous. I wonder how many actually sold.

Nick Swisher has agreed to a $56 mil, 4 year contract with the Cleveland Indians. Good riddance!!!

The Mariano sideshow has reached epic levels. Just retire at the end of the season. Go away.

There are 1450 innings per regular season (give or take a few). Mariano works around 60 of them. For a guy who works 4% of the year, he's sure making a spectacle of himself.
I'm frantic... Jeter Ceremony Date - when will this be announced????

    Thank goodness we now know.

Does he have a role in what New Era/the Yankees decide to sell?

Surely he does. The self-promotion has gotten way out of hand. There was even a segment of E:60 devoted solely to him on TV the other night.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.
