Beautiful hat. I am actually going to pick up the on field cap with the ASG patch at Lids tomorrow. With the Lids card I think that is the best price I can get. I will definitely consider buying one of these hats as well though.

Also, does anyone find the low crown hats are better than the "standard" caps you can buy at Lids and stores like that?

I had one a few years ago when the wool version was the "authentic" cap. The only difference between the standard cap and the low crown is that the low crown sits closer to the top of your head. Whenever I used to buy the regular version, it would just look bad (on me, that is), because the crown sat so high.

I like all of the flags commemorating the years that they won. The Vets hat looks a little tacky. I will be a little surprized if the Yankees actually wear it during the game.

Its July 4th and the Yankees ARE wearing these hats!!

There should only be one hat the Yankees wear - the navy blue cap with the white interlocking NY on front. Put an American flag patch on the side of it if you want, but don't mess with that design.

It's nice that they're auctioning these off for the troops, but I wish they wore their normal caps with a flag patch on the side and auctioned those off. It would still accompish the goal of honoring America and our troops and raising money for our troops, but wouldn't mess with a time-honored Yankee tradition by making them wear poorly-designed caps that don't match the rest of the uniform for one of the biggest series of the year.

A picture is worth a 1000 words (and $1000 )....No disrespect but some of the "Authentic" ones while maybe fitted arent technically authentic as those arent "what the players wear"

also i dont recall any specific hat for 1995, 1997, or 2007. unless you were just referring to the year you bought the hat.

IMHO adjustable hats arent even worth noting

The Yanks were actually off on Labor day if it wasnt for a makeup. I love how MLB gives team 'off days" on holidays.
