Eh, kinda disappointing. I wasn’t expecting dead-on accuracy but based on the research I’ve done for my future Yankee uniform database they got a couple things wrong. First, the cap logo being used was the cap logo from 1966-1976 and is still mistakenly depicted as the “current” cap logo anywhere you look on the internet. Second, the 1912 uniform had partial placket piping and navy cuffs on the sleeve. Additionally, every picture I’ve seen from 1912 shows players with only one red stripe on the socks. Dressed to the nines is a tremendous resource but many details did slip through.
Overall though, the chest logo looks good, and I’m still looking forward to this game and wish the Yankees would wear throwbacks more often; it’s not like getting new uniforms…if it’s something the team has worn in the past then it is as much a part of the Yankee tradition as the current uniforms.
Here are a couple 1912 photos and my representation of what the uniform should look like.

As long as the players dont wear their uniform pajama like, I am satisfied. Its going to be a nice game. Are the players going to wear #'s?

Just out of curiosity what thought goes behind which jersey you choose to wear any given game?

My rotation Depends on the opponent....

If its interleague and the Yankees are playing the Braves then im going with either '96 Jeter or '99 Posada WS jersey,

If the Yankees are playing a team that has hosted an All Star Game, say for example Angels, then im going w/the Swisher All Star BP Jersey

If neither is the case then I go with something more rare like Montero Futures or Romine Futures jersey

Every time I see those unis, I have an even great appreciation for players of that era. Wool in the summer.......I can barely stand wearing the modern jersey in July and August.

^ As far as authentic jersey then THIS! but i believe there will also be replicas available w/ felt name and number and not twill letters and numbers

1912 = no name and no number (of course)

How much is the Yankees hat going for? (I imagine the same price). Honestly, I liked that hat better than the traditional navy blue hat.

Does anyone know if there are still any stores that sell Yankees authentic fitted that are Made in USA? I noticed the authentic China made ones have this weird smell after I wear them for a bit and the NY logo turns pink after it gets wet, never had those problems with the USA made caps. Thanks!

There's just something really wrong with "authentic" and "made in China" used to describe a MLB product. It should be illegal.

I got a question about the 98 world series cap with the number #39 on the back. I have the same cap but with no number on back. Does anyone know what that number "39" is made off and where I could go to put that number on?

My best guess is you can go to any Lids or any place that has an embroidery machine.
