"We understand that John Henry must be embarrassed, frustrated and disappointed by his failure in this transaction. Unlike the Yankees, he chose not to go the extra distance for his fans in Boston."

Re: The Former Yankee Performance Thread v4.0
Thanks for the Burnett update. I snagged him onto my fantasy team.
Nick Johnson is 0-23 with 1 walk.
Might be time to hang it up.

Re: The Former Yankee Performance Thread v4.0
Im certainly not hoping he fails per se. Yes he contributed in '09 and even as bad as he was last year he made an important start against the Tigers in the ALDS.
But I don't get the warm fuzzy to be honest. He had some traits I wasn't crazy about, including but not limited to: showing up Girardi during pitching changes more than once, punching a plexiglass window with his pitching hand, not working well with Posada, etc

I'm glad AJ was able to get the win
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

Wang disgraced himself. Would have been better if the news was about PEDs.
