Re: The Former Yankee Performance Thread v4.0
Daniel McCutchen is making his pitching debut today for Pittsburgh, it'll be interesting to see how he does.

Giambi with another game winning hit coming off the bench
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

I said it once, I'll say it again would have been nice to get Giambi back for a bench role

His OPS with the A's was less than .700. I would much rather have Pena/Hinske/Hairston/Molina/Gardner over any combination with him.

Re: The Former Yankee Performance Thread v4.0
The defending AAA champion Sacramento River Cats, who are down 0-2 to Memphis in their five game series, will start two veteran pitchers in games 3 and 4 of the PCL Championships, with Jerome Williams taking the mound Friday and Shawn Chacon on Saturday. Williams, who allowed one run over 7.0 innings to beat Tacoma in Game 3 of the first-round series, won 10 games for the San Francisco Giants in 2004. Chacon, who earned the win in Sacramento’s series-clinching Game 4 against Tacoma, was an All-Star for the Colorado Rockies in 2003 when he won 11 games.
The Yankees are now 208-1 when Mariano has been asked to protect a four-run lead.

Remember when many of us marveled about the Sheffield deal and what a genius Cashman was for getting 3 young pitching studs. There's a trade that seems to have lost much of its lustre.

Former Rockies pitcher Shawn Chacon was arrested in Greeley on a charge related to unpaid gambling markers in Nevada, according to the Greeley Tribune.
Weld County sheriff's officials say they released him Tuesday, one day after his arrest, after learning Las Vegas authorities decided not to extradite him.
The Las Vegas Sun reported Friday that Chacon, a graduate of Greeley Central High School, faces a felony charge in connection with three bad checks written for $50,000 to Caesars Palace in March.
