Forgot to ask, where did you get the facade at? I looked over all the place for something like that when I set up my office.

    Re: My Yankee Room

Both rooms are great, especially PuffNettles. The thing I'm most excited about when I finally am able to get a house is a Yankees room and yours is a lot like I envision mine. Are the balls in that case all signed?

Thats awesome! I always fantasize about buying a huge mansion and making my own yankee hall of fame type section in my house where I can hang up memorabilia and stuff like that and have a big screen tv that plays yankeeographies and yankee classics all day. Maybe it'll happen one day

    Love the facade

    ^Subwayjo awesome room as well

Did you do all the work yourself? If so, can I pay you to come hook up my place? =P

That's pretty killer, I'm in the process of remodeling my room to be a tribute to the Yankees, although I think I'm going to have an Arsenal bathroom.

I like the idea of using the bat as a railing.

That is really great! My son has a Yankee room, but it pales in comparison (he's only 10, so there's time...)

Where did you get the subway sign/poster? And the facade?

These rooms are great guys! I'm trying to do my son's room similar but it's going along very slow. I'd love to know where you got the BD4 thing.

If you want the NYC Subway sign, try the NY transit museum or if you are in NYC look in the gift shops. I got mine from one of their kiosks in Penn Station.

I built facade in a room once, too, and it is exacting work to make it look right. I am designing a bed headboard now that incorporates the facade.

What is the story behind the flags in your pictures?

I found the sign. I just have to decide what size to get. Puff, what size is your sign?

My room has some posters along with the memorabilia but not as nice as your guys' rooms. One day when I have my own house I'll be sure to make a room full of Yanks stuff.

How many rooms in your house are painted Pinstripe Blue?? I just bought the paint and am going to do our front door....one of these days when I have time. I love the color and of course, it reminds me of the Yankees. Where did you get the Thank The Good Lord sign??

Thanks for all the comments guys/gals. To answer some questions...

Facade is actually somewhat 3 dimensional (although the pics dont show it) and was hand built using 3/4 inch MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) by my crafty, Met fan - father in law for somewhere around 5K (by trade he is a plumber and so that his per hour charge x hours worked) obviously we didnt pay that but that's how much he estimates it would have been. As Mantle'sMutt can attest, it was a tedious, meticulous task and so that's staying in the family and being passed on =P
