Re: The ugliest mug in baseball
Mike Ricci is the ugliest hockey player ever. If he were a baseball player, he would easily win the prize.

It's either him, Benito Santiago, or Derrick Turnbow.

Re: The ugliest mug in baseball
Wow. Someone else who remembers Don Mossi.
I was always under the understanding that The Boss insisted that Willie McGee be delat (yes, he was Yankee property first), saying, "He's too ugly to be a Yankee". Does anyone know for certain if this is turth or legend?

Re: The ugliest mug in baseball
Anything's possible with George, but I'd guess it's legend. McGee has talked about how he and Mattingly came up together, both in the outfiield at the time, and they liked Mattingly more and felt they only needed one of them.

Re: The ugliest mug in baseball
Youkilis is a goods one. I always mention his fugliness when he appears.
I will also nominate anyone wearing one of those what I've come to call the "butt kisser" beards. You know, the ones with just a thin, narrow strip under the lip - kinda like they scuffed their chin upon the kissed area on the way out.....

I would have said Randy Johnson before checking out this thread - but you guys have found "mugs" that make Randy look handsome!
By the way, when a thread starts for the "creepiest player" in baseball - put David Wright's name in there for me if I'm on vacaton. He's not the ugliest but that guy just creeps me out.

Re: The ugliest mug in baseball
Hahaha! I definately agree on Lackey!
Especially after seeing that commercial with him and Jeter yesterday!
Some distant runner-ups would be John Maine and our very own Kei Igawa.

Lackey is definitely one ugly SOB. That whole Angels pitching staff used to be a buch of two-baggers a few years ago.
Waiting for Sterling to retire so I can start listening to games on the radio again...

I'm surprised the CS gendarmes haven't shut this down already.

You're just worried because you have mug in your user name.

Luckily that's a different mugg and not the mug that looks at me in mirror everyday. Trust me, I'm doing everyone a favor by not posting a photo of myself.

I posted my picture once and it brought the server down. I was told never to post it again. I'm pretty gruesome.

I have also been told to avoid mirrors, lest I frighten myself.
