I Like Main a lot so I would be very pleased with that

What position players could we reasonably expect the Yankees to consider? Justin Jackson will probably go to CWS and LaPorta is already gone.

I forgot about Main. I'm just hoping the Tigers don't want to go way over slot this year, and "settle" for Harvey or Main.

Harvey would be a good selection, Porcello is a goner.

What makes you think the Yankees are going to invest 8M in one player?

Imagine what will happen if he's there for us.

This place will light up with posts in the 5 minutes before out pick. And then the name pops up on MLB and it's someone you've never heard of.

LOL The collective groan on this board will deafen everyone in the United States!

C'mun... time for some hitters to go off the board... let's see... Borbon to the Rangers, Frazier to SF, Jackson to the Sox.

Just saw this at the BA Blog too, Iceberg

I"d still take any one of those 3 pitchers (Main, Harvey, Porcello)

Well, they invested $40m in Pavano, who could only marginally be called a player... so... you never know

Here's the spot that BA thinks Porcello is going.

    Re: 2007 MLB Draft

This "Porcello is automatically gone" thing is silliness. Unfounded ideas on this site tend to snowball sometimes. Maybe Detroit is more likely to take him now, but not much more. If they wanted him in the first place badly then they would have taken him, Alderson or no. Its not like he is a 2nd rate substitute for Alderson
