Team Hero: Darrel Rasner for a GREAT outing today. I'd love to see him come back, I guess now, until Roger is ready.
Honorable Mention: Bobby Abreu, Miguel Cario, Derek Jeter, Hideki Matsui (2,001 hits in his professional career) and the bullpen (before and after Proctor was thrown out).

Rasner with a big start. The pen threw 3.1 innings on 30 pitches. Is this a sign that they're getting back on the beam?

Winning this game was so important because who knows if desalvo can do anything tomorrow. Also, this takes off even more pressure off him so that he may be able to do well.

Additionally, the Sox had Schilling going against Ponson, making it key to not drop another game in the standings. Rasner came up big. I liked him over Karstens anyway.
