Re: Positives from last night's game
the offense didn't score any run, so they're well rested from unnecessary base running.
well, except Jason.
but Torre will send someone to pinch run for him as soon as there is a lead. So it is no big deal.

Re: Positives from last night's game
-We're one game closer to getting a new manager with Mientkiewicz batting 2nd. I mean seriously sometimes it looks like Joe doesn't even want the job anymore.
-Giambi hit the opposite way when the shift was on. He also learned that what is an easy double for most is a single for him.
-Sean Henn learned that if you're tired and don't want to pitch in a second inning of a blowout you can just throw balls until Torre goes to someone else
-Mike Myers continued to lower his ERA pitching multiple innnings in meaningless situations possibly providing the misconception that he can actually be trusted in big situations.

Also, nobody killed a seagull with an offline throw or anything.

Positives from last night's game.... Hmmmm...
Actually, last night was the first time this season I thought the team looked sh*tty and unterested, but I'll chalk that up to Burnett spinning a gem...
One positive.... It ended!
Today is another day and another game. An opportunity to begin a new winning streak.
Welcome to NYYFans, the place where Yankees fans come together to complain about the manner in which our team is winning games.

Re: Positives from last night's game
I had disturbing visions of John Kruk in my head when I saw Giambi rambling around 1st heading for 2nd.

Yea it was especially bad when you consider that the throw was off target.

Re: Positives from last night's game
The announcers are always saying how if Giambi could poke one down third, he'd have an easy double.
Last night he cleared up that belief. If they ask who was our star, give them twenty five names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

Re: Positives from last night's game
He is so unathletic..... But this is funny... Nothing is an easy double for Jason! I'm wondering if they will eventually rule a ball that he hits, that bounces over the wall, as a ground rule single!

Seriously his next AB last night he hit one to the wall in RF and never even thought about going to second, slowly jogging into first.

one positive ... we're still in april. i think.
Bring tea for the Tillerman; Steak for the son; Wine for the woman
who made the rain come; Seagulls sing your hearts away;
'Cause while the sinners sin, the children play ...
