Brewers and D-Backs swap Doug Davis and Johnny Estrada
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6206648
MIL gets: Estrada, Claudio Vargas, Greg Aquino
AZ gets: Davis, Dana Eveland and Dave Kryznel
Looks like AZ got a little revenge for that Sexson trade.
Davis will be a 2-3 starter in the NL West and Estrada isn't really anything special.SI: Do you have a secret ambition?
Igawa: That's secret.

Looks like a very good deal for the Dbacks.

Despite his lackluster season last year, I'm a big Doug Davis fan. He's a durable lefty that makes a good amount of bats miss. He needs to cut out the increase in walks he had last year and he'll be fine.
“I mean, people knew that Brown was out there, and that Randy was ornery all the time. And Pavano is whoever he is. But if you’re their manager, you can’t go out and write about them like that.”

What do you know about Eveland for those of us unfamiliar?

Here are his stats:

thanks, looks like he walks a lot of guys too, but either way at 23 I'd much rather him than the mediocrity that is Aquino/Vargas.

He pitched in the bullpen in a short stint with MIL last year, but at AAA, he was a starter.
