Let's keep tradition alive... I'll start it
The 2016 Minor League Draft will start Tuesday, March 22nd at 8:00am
While the draft is running, you are NOT permitted to pick up as a free agent any player who could be drafted in the minor league draft.
Draft order is reverse of major league draft, but any expansion teams pick first.
You have 18 hours to make your pick.
Please post your pick in large font, bolded font, colored font, anything that will make your pick stand out from the conversations.
Boras's Holdouts: Clive
The Lumberjacks: PinstripePride
Those Hobbled Men in their Tattered Stirrups: gdn

It took a lot of work, and I consulted with several people here (including the commissioners) but attached here is a copy of what I hope will become our League Constitution. It incorporates all our rules and procedures, and I hope I didn't leave anything out.
If you can think of anything that I got wrong, or left out, please post it in this thread.
I'd like to pass this now, rather than during the off-season, so hopefully all the owners will get a chance to look at it.
This is the formula for the schedule for a 20 team, 4 division league in which each team plays division opponents twice and all other teams once.
First, teams need to be grouped by division and numbered, 1 through 5 in each division and 1 through 20 for the entire league. Other than that it's not essential that you put them in any particular order, but listing them by the order of last year's finish helps assure that teams won't end up playing each other in the same weeks each year....
Force acquire: 3B Todd Frazier
JD gets: RHP Lance McCullers
Frazier provides the force with an instant upgrade at the UTL position. McCullers (kept in rd.20) gives JD a young keepable pitcher.
RoYanks give up
Michael Pineda, SP
Planet Express gives up
Trevor Bauer, SP
Joey Gallo, OF
SP Luis Severino
OF Byron Buxton
Judgement Days sends.....
C Yadier Molina
SP Steven Wright
I think it's time we come to a consensus on what the objections are for. I'm speaking as commish, not the owner whose trade keeps getting vetoed. We have this come up year after year, so maybe it's as good a time as any to remember why we have the power to object.
In my opinion, I see two and only two reasons to object:
1. Trade made in bad faith - if a trade is made with obvious collusion, or an owner who is leaving is giving up all his players to his friend, then we should object to...
This week's matchups:
Miko's B @ Felonious Punks
Bad Apples @ Carolina Force
Those Hobbled @ The Lumberjacks
Mrs. Bill and Sluggo @ Powerplant
Planet Express @ Judgement Day
Guys with Wood @ Born to Lose
Boras's Holdouts @ Try2BeatMe
Larrupin' Lou's @ Michigan Wolverines
Where's John? I'm not good at this thread starting business.
Copying and pasting some of my analysis from Week 1, with updates.
Looking at Lester and Robinson: two high-round keepers. Lester, as usual, is projected as a Top 20 SP this year. Perennial double-digit wins, 200+ K’s player. 520 points a year average over the last three years (500+ points being an elite pitcher). Analysis since Week 1: Lester is currently the #8 SP in the league. He is an elite pitcher, as expected.
Robinson: Consistently a Top-10 RP. In two years as a closer, he has 73...
The Hobbled Men are trying to right their ship, so they give up a lot of the future for the present.
He made a trade, so he's around. OR DID HE?
It's Week 4. Is John back from vacation? John clear your PMs.
Someone remind me to set the schedule for the next few weeks.
Also, I'm offering Miggy. Send me offers.
A move that helps both teams in areas of specific need:
Ligers get a solid starting pitcher on a winning team to round out their staff
Jason Hammel SP CHC (current fpts 90, proj ROS 358)
Planet Express get a top second baseman to fill in their most glaring roster hole
Brian Dozier 2B MIN (current fpts 58, proj ROS 390)
