Mariners manager Mike Hargrove will announce his resignation at a news conference Sunday afternoon, The Seattle Times is reporting. No reason was given in the report for Hargrove's resignation, which comes when his team is on a seven-game winning streak. Hargrove was hired by the Mariners before the 2005 season. Congrats to Craig Biggio on career hit #3000. Biggio is probably my favorite non Yankee player ever, and IMO he doesn't get the recognition he deserves as one of the game's all time greats. Bill James ranks him as the 5th best second basemen of all time. Congrats Craig.

1st and 3rd situation with 1 out: Fly ball to the left fielder. Runner on 3rd tags-up, and the runner on 1st does not and takes off. The left fielder catches the ball, and the runner on third scores.
