  1. Sticky Thread Sticky: Message Boards for Other Teams: A List

    Since there have been a couple queries about message boards for other teams in the past couple days, I thought it might be useful to have some sort of list of good fan sites around the MLB. My goal is to have only two or three sites per team--it's not meant to include every forum out there. I also prefer to post forum sites over blogs, although if a blog has a game thread or is really, really good, I'll include it. Thanks for all the suggestions! Edit: Updated on 8/3/11-- New input...

  2. MLB Network - your favorites?

    I'm sure I'm not the only one here obsessed with it. I have my cable box set to tune right to channel 149 when I turn it on. I am a huge fan of Clubhouse Confidential and Intentional Talk. I think Brian Kenny and Harold Reynolds are my favorite personalities. It's actually made me enjoy Kevin Millar. He's actually a pretty funny dude. I can't get enough of it. I wish they'd find some better filler for the late night stuff. After 1 am they usually just repeat quick pitch over and over....

  11. Unbalanced Number Of Home and Road Games When Two Teams Play

    Baltimore and Kansas City play 9 times this season with only 2 of them in Kansas City. I thought every AL team would host every other AL team for at least three games. The NL has more teams so it's harder for every NL team to host every other NL team for at least three games in the NL.

    As an Oriole fan, this has been a tough year. But I am greatly encouraged by the statement that Peter Angelos put out yesterday.     This was mentioned in the Jeter Thread so wanna try to steer it over here: While I won't argue that the dumbbell made his own bed as far as being involved in baseball, here's what Ps me off about Pete Rose & the HOF: Rose made the deal with Giamatti in 1989 -- two years before the HOF implemented the "banned players ineligible" rule. This rule was not even implemented until 1991 -- when Rose would become eligible for the vote. Joe Jackson (and every other banned player) WAS eligible...
