All your mega-thread goodness is right here. (Formerly Inside the Lines)
Here's a list of all of the performance threads:
2009 Performance Threads:
Players without a thread:
We tried to give everyone a little extra leeway the past week or so to allow everyone to vent, but now that things have calmed down a little I would just like to remind everyone that the community standards apply not just regarding posts about players or your fellow users, but also when you're posting about those in Yankees management. We encourage everyone to post their opinions freely, positive or negative, about the Yankees management or anything else, but please make sure to do so in an...
The mega-threads, i.e "The Official Player X Performance Thread" have their purpose for discussions such as general commentary and analysis about the players or their performance in recent games. In addition, we don't want users to start a new thread for every little thought about a particular player or game. However, there are some topics that are important enough to have their own thread. We encourage users to start new threads about players or the team when there's something newsworthy.
Since he won't be playing figure this fits.
He's batting sixth and playing first base tonight. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/i/ishiktr01.shtml has his career statistics. He's played 1,699 career innings in the field of which 3 2/3 were in right field and the rest were at first base.
I was a little concerned when I heard about Long waxing negatively about his inability to get through to Cano regarding his lack of hustle. First of all, should he have said anything publicly about that? Something about seeing those comments in the press made me squirm a little bit. Maybe he was right, but it just struck me as lacking in class. It also makes me wonder, just how good a hitting coach this guy really is. I have all the respect in the world for professional coaches as well as...
Trying so hard not to get overly excited, but man is the thought of this guy being healthy an intoxicating one.
Purely my opinion, but I think the Captain is going to have a good year.
Nothing major for any of the regulars here. Don't panic folks. ;)
I thought it would be a good idea to open one of these for 2014 on a very slow note. Hopefully this year's thread will be less than 1/10th of what last year's was like.
Surprised a 2014 Joe Girardi thread hasn't been started yet (and likely a good sign since the tendency is to use this thread to vent or complain about bad decisions more so than to praise good decisions).
I'll kick it off. Interesting decision to stick with Phelps for as long as he did last night but it worked out.
3 years for $45M
My main man Hiroki Kuroda back for likely his last year in the majors. He was the ace of our staff last year, however he has an even greater role this year, being the Senpai for Masahiro Tanaka as he finds his way in the big leagues. Hoping for a big year from our co-ace!
ESPN reporting Yankees acquire Stephen Drew.
I can't wait to see him back on the field.
lDS HABBENING :D
7/155. Can't wait to see this guy pitch. I wonder what number he'll take.
I'm really pleased that Betances made the team out of camp. How incredibly cool it must be to make the team you grew up watching! Congratulations to Betances.
Will the third time be the charm? He was promoted and demoted twice before without pitching. http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=greene002sha has his minor league statistics. He's 25 and has not pitched in MLB yet.
Great name for a pitcher.
so Long Rich Hill....
Got the Yankees first homer, and is stealing bases. All in all, good start.
