  5. Monarchos Wins Florida Derby

Did anyone see the Florida Derby earlier today? I watched it on the Web. I really liked the way Monarchos took command and pulled away from the field. It felt good to have a winning ticket for a change! Too bad he only paid $4.80. If he continues to run the way he ran today, that might be the longest price he ever pays! http://www.drf2000.com/home/headline/headline.html Devastating Monarchos By Mike Welsch HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Monarchos assumed undisputed leadership of the...

  9. childs proves "point"

like i've been sayin for the past 3 years, childs was the best (read - only) point guard we had but that dope van baldy was too blind too see it... no, he ain't no allstar, but compared to the preacher / ex florida state heisman qb charlie wart, at least childs was a REAL point guard... he's got handle, he plays dee, and he snuffed kobina bryant w/ a classic 1, 2 combo that ali wouldda been proud of... what else can you ask of a new york point guard... but he never was good enough...

  10. Any interest in the Manhattan/Siena game on Saturday?

I'm a Siena grad, but a lot of you are more likely to be supporting Manhattan in the first round of the MAAC tournament. The game is on MSG, late, probably won't start until near 10:00. Any fans out there of either team?

  11. My Knicks

Just wanted to post that the back-to-back games of the Knicks and the Pacers have been awesome. Both were come from behind wins for the Knicks. It's nice to see a couple of really good wins in a row and a solid effort from this inconsistent team! Let's hope we really start to rack up the wins now! Don't want to lose that home court advantage! :D :D :D Rita

  14. Goring Out as Islanders Coach

Well, It's about time they did something! I guess last nights 6-0 humiliation was the straw that broke the camel's back! Now if only Wang weren't tied to Milbury, maybe we'de get somewhere-I guess half a loaf is better than none -though I think the Islanders problems are deeper than their coaching! There's always next year (or the year after that!)

  15. What should the NY Giants do at the draft?

Draft day is right around the corner and i was wondering what the Giants should focus their attention on? my first thought was Defense, mainly the DB's. Sehorn and the rest of the saftys are great but they need some one that can handle the other corner position. Mcdanial did great i thought this year at the nickle position and i would hate to start him at the other corner position becuase his size and speed is a question in my eyes but at the nickle he's perfect, because he's able to make...

  16. XFL!!??...

I was wondering what everybody here thought about this new league. Does anyone know what the names of the teams are and where they play and what day the games are on? What is the name of the NY area team? I hope it isn't the WWF on a football field, but I'll take anything to hold me over until the season starts. :) I'm just not a fan of Hockey or Basketball so I'm hoping this might be something to watch.
