    We're off later this week to attend a friend's wedding. Singapore's never been high up my holiday wishlist, but I'm kind of excited at this stage, as I've never even been in that part of the world before. We've got a few days free, during which we have a cable car dinner planned, and will probably go to one or two zoos or similar. Has anyone else been, and has any recommendations they'd like to share?   4. Sitcom that was killed too soon? Your thoughts

    Name a sitcom you enjoyed and thought was headed to great things but the network suits killed it too quickly, didn't give it a chance to build an audience. Does not have to be a show you saw in your lifetime, you can nominate a show before your time that you have found out about and think was killed off too soon (my nominee is one of those). Only rule: Show must have lasted one year or less.

    So in Scotland growing up in high school we played a game called rounders ....when I say played it was whenever the teacher decide to select it in PE which was not often!     http://money.cnn.com/2015/06/17/media/bill-simmons-hbo/index.html Worth mentioning HBO is a subsidiary of Time Warner, who is also the parent company of TNT (NBA games/coverage). CNN is also a subsidiary of Time Warner. Seems like a pretty good fit for a guy who wants creative freedom. Hopefully he can poach some of the talent he cultivated over at Grantland and 30 for 30.

  13. Memorial Day

    I was watching the ceremonies this AM at Arlington National Cemetary honoring our fallen heroes and all the servicemen. I was especially moved by President Obama's speech it was appropriate and extremely moving. Toward the end you could see how moved he was by the occasion. He tried to keep it in but he almost lost it. Can you imagine the pressure on a President who gets to send our servicemen into harms way? It makes me wonder if the candidates for Presidency really think about the office...

    Asking this question for a friend She is looking to go to one of the CUNY community colleges in NYC and is from another state. She would be studying an associates degree in business. So a few questions, I obviously understand NYC is a very competitive market for employment but how likely are you to find work in NYC with a associates degree.
