  1. Better Call Saul discussion thread [with spoilers once episodes premier]

I have a feeling that this show may be a gem. Being in the BB universe, we already know Mike Ermentrout will be a regular. Walt and Jessie by season two I hear. I expect Gus as well. And just having VG at the helm gives me hope it will be written just as well. I wanted to be able to discuss without worrying about spoilers. I figure enough of us will be watching. Who's pumped?

  3. Big week for me. (And that is the understatement of the decade)

Next Wednesday I will undergo six hours of tests and interviews to determine my viability to be placed on the kidney transplant list. To say this is one of the most important days of my life is an understatement. Not getting on it means I continue on dialysis as long as it works and then that is it as they say. My doctor believes that I will get on as all my numbers are where they should be (for someone with kidney failure). Today I found out two of the pre-tests were waived! Either way I won't...

  6. Making A Murderer

Who else has watched or is watching? What are your thoughts? I still have two episodes to go, but wow. I know they can't show everything in a 10-episode series, but some very effed up stuff went down.

  9. We Cast The Dark Tower (Pt 3)

Next up - Roland's original Ka-tet (with a short description for each): Cuthbert Allgood Cuthbert is Roland Deschain's childhood best friend. Cuthbert is characterized by his outwardly flippant, care-free view of the world. He constantly makes jokes, often testing the nerves of his companions. He is notably skilled with a sling-shot. Alain Johns Alain is described as being stout with blond hair. He is calm, reserved and often plays the role of level-headed mediator between ever...

  14. What Active MLB Player Is From The Closest Place To Where You Live?

I live in Merrick. The closest player to me I found is John Lannan from Long Beach. He last pitched in MLB in 2014 and is currently struggling for Omaha, Kansas City's AAA team. Kansas City has Kevin McCarthy from Rockville Centre, who hasn't reached MLB, at AA Northwest Arkansas. Sean Nolin from Seaford pitched 29 innings for Oakland last year, but he hasn't pitched in the majors or minors in 2016. In terms of retired players, Frank Viola, who won 176 games, was born in Hempstead and went...

  15. Random baseball rules question...

Could a pitcher theoretically just drop the ball in front of him and it would be considered a ball? One of those "well why dont they just do this when they intentionally walk someone" questions...might save strain on the arm and prevent injury. Random thought. Lol

  20. An apology

Just wanted to offer an apology to anyone I may have bothered or offended in the recent past. Politics is one area I am admittedly a bit too passionate about at times and tend to get a bit carried away and made way too much use of the ignore feature and instead of just doing it made it known. Well not only have I not used this feature in some time and as of now will not use it. Think I will be taking a break from the election thread for awhile!
