What are some of the moves you want to see this winter? I'm hoping we pick up Lester and/or Scherzer first and foremost but I also think adding a right fielder with power is crucial. Nelson Cruz? We will also have a middle of the infield to put together, I have a feeling we sign JJ Hardy and see how Refsnyder does at 2nd in Spring Training.

He has been officially declared a FA by MLB today but some US Office has to unblock him. How long could that take though? I think it's safe to say Yanks can sign him before the next IFA signing period.

Really hoping Hal opens his wallet up for this guy. A young 4 or 5 tool shortstop with this much talent...
After giving up Martin Prado's versatility and veteran presence, IMO it would make sense to sign Drew and either include Ryan in a trade or just release him.
My guess is Ryan has some value defensively, and there may be a few teams that would willingly take on his very modest contract. I don't think the Yanks would expect much back in return.
IMO Drew should be able to be quickly signed on a short-term deal for a relatively low AAV (2yrs/$8-$10M?) and provide depth at both 2nd and SS....
If the FO is going to roll the dice with the likes of Chris Capuano, David Phelps, and/or Adam Warren filling out the back of the rotation, I wonder if it would be wiser/more exciting to see if Bryan Mitchell and Manny Banuelos can rotate and flourish in the #5 spot.
Personally, I'd like to see Warren stay in the role he had success in last season, as a late-inning reliever. I like his no-nonsense, bulldog attitude on the mound, and his increased velocity. I'd like to see Phelps and Esmil...
