  1. Sticky Thread Sticky: Please Use Descriptive Thread Titles

Please show some courtesy to your fellow fans and use descriptive thread titles in this sub-forum and in all other areas of this forum so everyone knows exactly what's being discussed in a particular thread. A thread titled "Joe Torre" for example could be about anything - please specify exactly what you want to discuss in the thread you're starting such as "Will Joe Torre Ever Come Back to the Yankees?". Not everyone has a lot of time on the forum to go in and out of every single thread so...

  1. Poll Poll: Will Chien-Ming Wang be our mid-season acquisition?

He now has a sub 1.00 ERA in AAA and was reportedly sitting 90-91 last night (you have to think that this will only go up as the year progresses.) I can see the penny-pinching Yankees calling him up and making him the sole pitching upgrade at the deadline Thoughts on the poll? Over? Under?

  2. 2013 New York Yankees Season Long Discussion Thread

Now that spring training is here and all players have reported, it is time to begin speaking of the season that will lead to our 28th World Series Championship. Despite the lack of moves this off-season, I, for one, believe that this Yankee team will be successful and has a solid chance to advance to and win the World Series. Our starting pitching is intact, Mo has returned (and appears to have lost nothing, from what I read) and we acquired pieces that I believe will fit well on this team....

  3. If George were alive today what do you think he would do?

I was wondering with all the Yank injuries this year how do you think Steinbrenner would handle this? Would he fire the training staff? Demand that Cashman empty the bank and acquire any available superstars that are out there? Or, would he demand to know why Yankee fans are not coming out to support their team like they did in the past? Just wondering. What do the rest of you fans think?;)

  5. Yanks Acquire Reid Brignac

According to Jon Heyman, Yanks acquire utility infielder Brignac from Rockies. No mention what they gave up. Can't imagine it would be much.

  7. Hal's bad judgement thread

Yankees appear to be scrapping plan of staying below $189M payroll 11 hours ago The age of austerity doesn't look like it'll last long for the Yankees. (USA Today Sports) All along, the New York Yankees have stated the effort to cut their 2014 payroll to $189 million is merely a goal. More and more, it's one major league sources don't believe they'll reach. In recent months, the Yankees have become far less bullish on their publicly stated austerity plan, admitting to other executives and...

Will the payroll be under 189M or will the Yankees continue working over the luxury tax?

  9. Poll Poll: Should we give Cano a 10 year deal?

according to Joel Sherman, Cano/Boras wants a 10 year deal at top market value, likely meaning 20+ million a season.... http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/yankees/lockin_robbie_wQEKO16KuS0CYNHBrc5y6L would you do it? I honestly think I would just pick up his 2013 option and trade him at the deadline rather than get hooked into another A-Rod type deal Thoughts?
