  1. Yogi Berra

I don't know if this the right place to post this or not. I have become increasingly annoyed at how baseball is being taken over by sabrematricians. There is a place for this type of analysis but in the final analysis, gut feelings and experience mean more to the decisions that Managers have to make. What has this got to do with Yogi? Well, I have read time and time again that sabremetrics have proven that there is no thing as a "clutch hitter".. I have seen Yogi play for almost all his...

  3. September 20th game time change

If any of you guys were heading to Queens for the Subway Series finale, ESPN has picked it up for the 8 PM start. Bad news for the Yankees who have to fly to Toronto after the game.

  4. What happened to the Yankee fan base?

I understand that is was Labor Day weekend, but what pitiful crowds at the ballpark for the games against the Rays and Orioles. In general this season, despite a winning team it seems like the interest in this team has dwindled. I think it could be a few reasons why, but I would like to hear your opinions as well. - The new stadium killed a good chunk of the fan base. We have all heard the complaints about being sterile, too expensive, and too corporate. - The old faces are gone, its...

  9. Bars/Restaurants owned by Yankees, in New York City area

Not sure if this belongs in the history forum, but I'm doing some research on area bars and restaurants owned by athletes, and figured this be a good spot for crowd sourcing. Of course I know Mantle's, as well as Rivera's closed one in New Rochelle. As well as Carlos Beltran (back in his Met days) having a piece in some establishments. For some reason I think I heard Posada had the same sort of deal, where he had a hand in the place, but it has little to do their ties to baseball. Any...
