  2. Sticky Thread Sticky: When Posting About the Yankees Management...

We tried to give everyone a little extra leeway the past week or so to allow everyone to vent, but now that things have calmed down a little I would just like to remind everyone that the community standards apply not just regarding posts about players or your fellow users, but also when you're posting about those in Yankees management. We encourage everyone to post their opinions freely, positive or negative, about the Yankees management or anything else, but please make sure to do so in an...

  3. Sticky Thread Sticky: If you're looking for Yankee tickets, check here first.

So you want to see the Yankees, ay? Are you frustrated by the lack of quality seats available from the Yankees Box Office or Ticketmaster, don't want to take out a second mortgage to buy from a broker, and don't trust buying from someone over the internet? If you answered yes to any of these questions (or even if you didn't!), I've got your solution! NYYFans.com has partnered with the Ticket Network to provide great seats for all budgets for every Yankee game (home or away). There is...

  1. Bat Day Question

Quick question. I am taking my kids to the game tomorrow and I have not been to. Bat day in many years. Do they give the bats out on entry, or on the way out? If on the way out, do they distribute vouchers to the first 14,000 or how does it work? Trying to figure out how urgently we need to enter the stadium when we get there. Thanks for your help!

  4. Poll: 4 Greatest Yankees to be Honored at '15 All Star Game

MLB is holding a fan poll to determine the 4 greatest players in the history of each franchise. The winners will be recognized at the upcoming All Star Game in Cincinnati. (I'm curious to see if Pete Rose is among the 4 for the host city) Bob Costas and John Smoltz couldn't agree on the 4 players for either the Yankees or the Red Sox. Costas had Babe, Lou, Joe D, and Mickey. Smoltz left off Joe D and replaced him with Mo. This might not be as easy to predict as some here might...

  5. YES Network Ratings Down 21% (so far)

It's early in the season but ratings on the YES Network are down a substantial amount compared to recent years. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/sports/baseball/mets-close-gap-with-yankees-in-tv-viewership.html?referrer= Even with Arod back people care less, I guess. Last season may have been an anomaly because of Jeter.

  6. COMP tickets have been blacklisted on YTE

As we speak, if you are trying to list your COMP tickets on YTE, the barcode will not be validated. I don't know if they have done that during Opening week or not, but the program is activated. In a way, it is good. But then again, more traffic for Stubhub. Maybe, this is a pilot program that applies to a certain COMP tickets? Or they will just blacklisted the COMP tickets in general.

  10. Billy Martin- new book

I'm about a third into this and it's already difficult to put it down. Starts off with Martin's early childhood in Berkley, CA to his initial stint in pro baseball where he played on the Oakland Oaks under Mgr Casey Stengel. Hard to believe Billy has been gone for 25 years now- I remember as a kid, one of my first NYY games was the OT Day when it was announced Martin was returning the next season to manage. Place went nuts- a must read for Yankee Old Timers and the "younger" generation as well-...

  11. Tailgating Question

Former long time partial plan holder here. Last year was the first time I didn't go to the stadium in probably 15 years. We used to park in the small north lot on 151st street and barbecue. Can you still bring small grills in and barbecue?

  15. Medtal Detectors at YS

I have read complaints from soccer fans of up to 45 minute waits to get into the Stadium for the NYFC game because of the Metal Detectors at all the entrances. Since I know Major League BB has mandated Metal Detectors for all games in 2015 I wonder how bad it will be for Yankees Games. By the way I believe this is totally unneeded.

  17. Where Have You Gone Joe DiMaggio?

For the second year in a row, the Yankees send out season tickets using pictures of past Yankee greats, and for the second year in a row, Joltin' Joe is conspicuously absent. No Yankee Clipper this year of nicknames, just as there was was no 56 game streak listed last year among the most famous records. Before his death, Joe reportedly offended George or the family, but it seems petty to hold a grudge. It does not reflect well on the Steinbrenners.

  19. The David Cone said what? Thread

Ok so I had to make this thread. Coney just threw out another gem of a statement. On the post game show Cone said and I quote "Phil Hughes gets banged." now normally i wouldn't say anything of it, and just let it go. But this after saying that Ian Kennedy got jerked off... well, for comic relief standpoint, this thread had to be made.

  20. Your Thoughts and Experiences on Yankee Opening Day 2015

I arrived at stadium at noon and had no issues with new security procedures. I inquired at customer service desk about legacy rewards card and they had no info and directed me to legacy boot in great hall. I spoke with 2 people there. I had no idea what I was talking about and the other said I will get points based on my ticket bar code scan. Walked through Yankee store and was surprised to see the amount of people buying merchandise. I guess they didn't "Got to go to Mo's"! Picked up...
