• Joba Chamberlain makes first rehab appearance

Joba Chamberlain appeared in an actual minor league game this morning, working an inning to officially kick off his minor league rehab stint as he attempts to return to the big leagues following both Tommy John surgery and a severe ankle dislocation. Joba worked one inning for the Gulf Coast League Yankees, facing the Pirates in Bradenton. He threw 23 pitches, allowed one unearned run, and struck out two batters without giving up a hit or a walk.
