    Continuing my post from yesterday, where I reviewed the first five rounds of Yankee draft picks, I am giving you some brief profiles of rounds 6-10. I’ll also make a list of the rest of the Yankees picks at the bottom now that the draft is officially over.

    Round 6 (217): Nick Goody
    DOB: July 6, 1991
    Position: Relief Pitcher

    Wt: 195
    School: Louisiana State University

    Last year, the Yankees drafted Goody in the 22nd round of the draft. He was fresh out of junior college and opted to continue his career with LSU. It appears to have paid off, as the Yankees drafted Goody in the sixth round this year. Goody is a relief pitcher, closing for the Tigers this season. In 32.1 innings for LSU this season, he had an ERA of 2.51 and a WHIP of 1.09. His K/9 was an impressive 12.61 and he picked up eleven saves. He has a nice low-90s fastball and a late-breaking power slider, both of which he appears to command consistently as he only issued three walks all season – or put another way, for every batter he walked he struck out fifteen. Baseball America believes that Goody is a player who could find himself in the majors pretty quickly.
