• Pettitte, Yanks, blank Rays 7-0

The Yankees needed to get a win against division rival Tampa Bay tonight, and Andy Pettitte needed a bounce back effort after his start in Anaheim last Tuesday night in which he allowed two home runs and took the loss in his worst outing since his Motherís Day return (that sounds more dramatic than it really is though, since otherwise Pettitte has been fantastic so far). We can say without a doubt that the Yankees got exactly what they needed tonight, and itís fairly safe to say that even Andy may have to admit that he had his good stuff tonight.
