So crazy, it just might work:

“Let’s not (talk about [the Yankees' struggles hitting with runners in scoring position]) and let’s see if it changes,” he said. “Let’s try a different way, and let’s see if it changes.” When it was brought up again, Girardi literally screamed — he claimed to be doing a Kramer imitation — to signal that he didn’t want to talk about it. He wasn’t really avoiding the question, just having some fun with the writers, and it was honestly pretty funny.

Hey, it can’t work out any worse than whatever they’ve been doing so far, right?

The starting pitching of the New York Yankees has been the story of the current team’s run of success. There is no doubt that the string of successes by Phil Hughes, Andy Pettitte, Hiroki Kuroda and Ivan Nova have fueled the team’s surge. But you have to give some pats on the back to the bullpen that is missing two of the league’s best relievers and is hanging in there. Cody Eppley, Clay Rapada and Cory Wade have all succeeded in recent outings as Joe Girardi is doing his best Tony La Russa mix and match routine. The thing about those three relievers and even the closer to some degree (Rafael Soriano) is that none of them have “blow you away” stuff and as such, must be used carefully. Boone Logan, on the other hand, has been blowing people away. Writing such things is surely like sticking a nose in a bees nest, but golly, the guy is pitching outstandingly.
