    Brian Cashman spoke to reporters yesterday, but as far as the topic of how the Yankees will approach this year’s trade deadline period, Cashman provided little in the way of nuggets for rumor hunters. Cashman did express confidence in the team’s bullpen and lineup, but he was much more non-committal with respect to his starting rotation. “We spent the winter trying to make the rotation a strength. We had some injuries, under-performance early in the year that now are working their way through. Is that a strength? Will it need to be reinforced? I am not ready to make that call quite just yet.”

    I was going to take the occasion of Roger Clemens being acquitted at trial after the prosecution’s case just completely and utterly fell apart over the course of however long it was exactly that they drug that mess out.
