Det= 18-17 vs playoff teams
NYY= 11-11 vs playoff teams
Oak= 14-12 vs playoff teams
Min= 17-18 vs playoff teams

Nobody was really that much better against playoff teams than anyone else. Detroit just played more games against a playoff team because the Twins are in their division, clearly (Minnesota the same deal).

And I to go a little further Detroit was 2-5 against the Yankees, 5-4 against Oakland, 11-8 against the Twins. So... basically... why didn't they at least have SOME trouble getting to the World Series?!

Suppan needs to continue this hot streak he is on because St. Louis is just god awful at the plate. It's excruciating to watch these games. They're so boring.

The Elias Sports Bureau said that the last time both teams were hitting under .200 after three games of a World Series was in 1972, when Cincinnati was hitting .179 and Oakland was hitting .178. This year, the Tigers are at .185, the Cardinals at .196. The last time both teams have hit under .200 for an entire Series? The 1906 Series between the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox. http://www.mlive.com/sports/statewide/index.ssf?/base/sports-2/116183943937660.xml&coll=1
