What a wonderful voice. It was nice to see his return to popularity in recent years.
Loved, loved, loved his voice, and he seemed like a true gent.
RIP
I didn't know he had been battling cancer. RIP Mr. Rawls. :(

I mostly knew him from the "Lady Love" song, and yes, he was truly a fabulous voice and an amazingly classy individual. I feel very proud knowing that there at least were people of his caliber around in the entertainment business, even if it's mostly the old-schoolers.
I may not have followed his career, but class and quality don't exactly grow on trees!!!
R-I-P :( :( :(

I'm so sad.
"You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" is one of the first songs I remember singing as a kid.
RIP
Eternal rest grant unto him, o Lord...

Call me confused. Hasn't Low Rawls been dead for awhile now? Why has this thread been bumped?

Me too. He's been dead for over a year. That's a lot of pages to go through to pull it back up. Others probably just thought it was a new thread and didn't realize he had died.

Yes, in January 2006. Still sad news, but I don't know why the thread was bumped.

Now I remember when he died and yet, when I read the thread title, I was shocked to hear he had died. LOL!

Don't feel bad...I didn't remember either until I saw I had answered it. :o

Whoever bumped this probably did this to embarrass us all. ;)
I really hate it when people bump threads needlessly.
Your gonna miss my lovin is an awesome song. Lou is and will always be great!!!! Is this necessary? Regurgitating old threads for a good reason is fine, but this is twice without any reason.
