Yeah, Tim MaCarver mentioned that again. I don't understand why they say that; Andy has come up big in games but has tanked his fair share as well.

If the Astros goes up 3-1, I don't know if the Cardinals could come back to win the series especially with the injury to Reggie Sanders, who is accounted for most of the Cardinals RBIs with 12. They already lost Scott Rolen to injury and with Larry Walker banged up and Abraham Nunez hurting his knee, it gets even worse for the Cardinals.

Even if it was a strike, which I don't think it was, they just need to let a player have some room to argue, especially in a playoff game. With a manager, it's supposed to be automatic with any argument about balls and strikes, so I can understand that one at least a bit, but there's no way Edmonds should have been tossed.

Why do you think they all go to Timmy when they get tossed. I remember reading an SI poll a while ago which rated the best Umps (it was done by ballplayers) and McClelland would run away with the competition

Yep-he routinely had like 85% of the players thinking he was the best ump. He's one of a handful of umps who doesn't take himself too seriously and just "gets" the fact that no one is there to see him. Plus, he's a very good balls and strikes guy, which is another major plus.

Hey everyone. I'm new here.

This is the first game I've ever watched Pettitte pitch in an Astros uniform.

I've obviously seen highlights and stuff but tonight I'm realizing I never came to grips with his departure.

I have to say I'm pulling for the Cardinals. I'd rather not see Pettitte and his butt-buddy Mr. Clemens in the World Series...and if they do get there I have to go with the White Sox. I guess it's just because I don't want the Yanks looking any more stupid than they already do :).

But hey, Kevin Brown was a nice same-day acquisition to soothe the pain from Andy leaving us on December 11th 2003 (one of the worst birthdays ever for me!) lol.
