Welcome to the 'House of Pain'...Be thankful you weren't around in the 80's as a Yankee fan. :D or...maybe you were and have forgotten those 'unforgiving/unproductive' signings. :) Back then we blamed it on an irrational KingGeorge..now we blame it on the 'Tampa Mafia'.. :D
yes i was around the horrible 80's and i see it going back to those times.

Brennaman is going by the fact that he has been in MinuteMaid Park 6 times for the LCS in the last 2 years. Also, I believe it has been written that when the roof is closed at that park, the acoustics make it the loudest park in the league.

I always see people making references to the Yankees short porch in RF, but, why does nobody ever mention Fenway's ridiculous short porch in RF?
Because Fenway doesn't have a ridiculous short porch in RF...it's short right at the foul pole and then gets WAY deeper. It's rare that you see a ball wrap around the pole.
My instinct was that the AL winner would win the World Series, but then I thought the Cards were going to the World Series. If Pettitte and Clemens win a World Series as Astros, damn.
The White Sox will win the WS. The pitching is a tad better and their hitting is alsom better. Both have a real good defense. Plus Ozzie is crazy, that's a factor.

I've seen many a homerun hit out there, so I dont know how rare it is. It's about 299 feet for someone to hit a homer out there if they hit it right. It is ridiculously short.
It's 302 down the RF line in Fenway. It's 314 in Yankee Stadium. Yankee Stadium also has higher walls in RF.

The White Sox will win the WS. The pitching is a tad better and their hitting is alsom better. Both have a real good defense. Plus Ozzie is crazy, that's a factor. Other than Garcia, I don't trust the White Sox pitchers. I don't care how good they have been of late. Sure Pettitte, Clemens and Oswalt can fall apart, but it seems to me the odds are better than Contreras, Buerhle and Garland will. We'll see though. I don't really don't care which team wins though.

I imagine you see most of your Sox games in the form of highlights on Sports Center? They always get shown on highlight reels because it really doesn't happen often. This season I believe Mueller had one (or was that last year?) and Varitek had a walkoff there...that's all I can think of off the top of my head, and I watched/listened to nearly every game. I'm sure there were others, but it's not frequent.
According to the Sox, it's 302 right down the line to right. But then it jets out to 380 in deep right. Really, I swear, it's not a short porch at all.
Edit: Ortiz had one as well.

Mini-Me's hitting .276, but Nunez is batting .381, but is on the bench. The 'Stros took a big chance and won. He's also lucky he didn't get gunned out at 2B. I'd not have given him defensive indifference on that. If he goes to 3B, so what? Only 1 run could score.
Why couldn't Alex Rodriguez have done that? He's not Pujols, either!

"They" are still wrong. Pujol has become a good 1st baseman and even though he doesn't have the speed, he such a better hitter than Alex that it makes him the superior player.
