That is right folks. The league is shaping of very nicely and very balanced.
What a week for Team JackedUpEyeBlack23! Only to be outdone by their most bitter rival and despised GM Team GHR 714 owned Week 11.
Should be a great week as Striking Back, GHR 714, JackedUp, and yes... The Corporation all within striking distance of the New York Knight's streak.
I kept telling ya I didn't expect my run to last forever...(No...forget that! I was being modest! I will run the table for 25 consecutive weeks! )

I would most gladly give up Vlad for Abreu if it would stop us from being the hated and bitter of rivals :D
On second thought I like having a bitter and hated rival.

Vlad and Abreu have been one and two on my draft board for the past 5 years! :D
Seriously, did you see the moonshots Vlad hit on Saturday?
Its all about the rivalry, just like the XM commercial!

Wow...good pick Kev.
Delmon Young went 3-for-4 and hit his 15th and 16th homers for Double-A Montgomery on Sunday.
Young has been consistent throughout and is currently batting .335/.394/.581 with 22 steals in 28 attempts. He tops the Southern League in homers and RBI (59) and is second in slugging.

Rick Ankiel went 3-for-4 with a home run and six RBI yesterday for Single-A Quad Cities.
Ankiel, who was expected to play for Double-A Springfield before he hurt his back in April, is hitting .263/.330/.588 with seven homers in 22 games in the Midwest League.
huh...who knew? :dunno:

I know, that is my bad, 'cause you just did the leapfrog! :D
After a lull of a few weeks this league has really tightened up a bunch.

This is a great league (of course I'm in third so that makes me like it a little extra), but when the top 3 teams are seperated by only 2 and 4.5 points, an the 4-6th place teams are certainly within striking distance it makes everything a lot more fun.

I dunno...I liked it better when I had a double-digit lead!
I'm getting closer.....

As commish, I decided it was in the best interest of the league to allow more people at the top of the standings.
By throwing my team into a tailspin, I have created more interest for you guys, and have allowed the league to flourish.
At least thats what I keep telling myself.
Damn...third place. Wow. Congrats to GHR714 for taking the lead.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Certainly did not expect to be in first place, thought Striking Back had a much better chance. However, I would like to thank my parents, my fiancee, Brian Roberts, and Julio Lugo for all contributing to my rise to the top (5 SB in one night  ). It is nice to finally break the Knights strangle hold on first, though wy pitchers played way over their heads this week and I do expect to be back in 2nd-3rd place by Monday morning. Thank You all.

I think the most important issue is the revolving door that has become the top 6 teams. Honestly, I think any of those 6 teams has a chance in the end to take the title.
Not fill your head, but that was great run for the Knights! Leading for nearly 12 weeks is quite an accomplishment. I just hope you don't get back up there for another 12 weeks! :D
As for the first place team, Team JackedUp has their sights set on the GM and team owner of the 714 club.

The 714 club is veerrryy exclusive only 2 are currently there so setting your sights on it may be over-reaching.
Hey, where are the props for breaking NY Knights strangle hold on first place?

You were beat to it yesterday! GHR 714 held the lead for a day! Although, you might be on top today, it looks like the top 4 are going to become a revolving door.

Haha, so no props for ending the oppressive rule of GHR 714?

Well, I will give that one to ya! :D
D. Lee has gone deep twice today. At the rate he and Andruw are hitting 'em out, I going to have 70 points in the offense category.

Anyone WANT Corey Patterson? Seriously, I'll take anything. A couple GMail invites, bag of sunflower seed SHELLS swept up from the dugout floor, perhaps the opportunity to help the son of an international diplomat obtain $40million dollars simply by letting them use my bank account - anything?
28Ks in 83ABs in June....that's 34%!! Same as Adam Dunn (24/69)!
I'm in 3 leagues this year, and sadly, I targeted him in each league. Never really overpaid, or drafted too early, but this guy is just awful. I somehow managed to pawn him off for Berkman in one league, but I think I'm stuck with him now in the other 2.
