Nice number. Does anyone know the stats for similar boards for other team's fans?

Remember, this is a team that has trouble selling out for playoff games. Pretty sad as there may never be another team to win as many division titles in a row.

Not really, the Braves are nationally broadcast, they have fans all over the country. ;)

Perhaps the site administrator can give us an idea of how this relates to traffic here, in terms of hits. I would assume it's always increasing to some degree?

I just did a brief survey of our milestone members. Very disappointing overall

10,000th: 1 post, RO'd
9,000th: 0 posts
8,000th: 0 posts
7,000th: 0 posts
6,000th: 5 posts

4,000th: 4 posts
3,000th: 2 posts

That's probably the way it is with all systems though. 80% of the usage comes from 20% of the users. It's a common trend.

Well, 3800 members (still in good standing) have been active since January 1, 2005. That's about 35%. Not bad, I'd say.

I thought I'd bump this to showcase the Impressive growth that NYYFans.com has continued to enjoy since we hit the 11,000 milepost.

We are now approaching 13,000 members, a figure that we should surpass before the one year anniversary of hitting 11,000.

Congratulations!!!

Not saying you should, I just wonder why you don't.

Not saying you should, I just wonder why you don't.Because then we would lose all their posts. I don't believe in deleting anything, I'd rather have an extensive history to refer to.

I fell in that category at first. I browsed this site unregistered for over a year before I ever signed up. I would pop in daily to see all the information the members would banter about.
I finally had to register because you closed the site to only members during the playoffs..."too many trouble makers at the time".

Smart move on both our parts.
Thanks Jim for the site!

That is great and I like the fact that you still have posts from the gone ones...sometimes before they did whatever caused them to become gone they either made sense or were fun and it's cool to see the historical record.

I can't believe we're almost up to 13,000 people that have at least been members - wow - that's like a small city or something! :)

By this do you mean there's a small group of users who get on the forum at least weekly to post? I may be overanalyzing your comment but I think I just confused myself.

Say that there's 100 members and 1,000 total posts. 25 members have 750 of those posts, while 75 members make up the remaining 250. Those numbers aren't relational to real data at all, I'm just providing an example.

What that says is that there's a strong core group of posters who are very active. That's a good thing.
