What Yankee ace submarine pitcher was responsible for the only fatality in major league history?
What Yank shortstop holds the #3 spot for consecutive games played after Cal Ripkin Jr. and Lou Gehrig?
What Highlander ace still holds the record for the American Leagues best ever season of 41 - 12?
Good luck.

Hate to say it, but I didn't know the answer myself, when I posted this, just wanted to see if anyone did. But I was curious so I e-mailed SABR about it.
Here's the answer:
Shortstop George Pinckney of Brooklyn (in the American Association)played 577 consecutive games from September 20, 1885- May 7, 1890. How was his streak stopped? Someone spiked him, and he couldn't play for 8 days afterwards.
Thought you guys would be interested to know that.
