It was a pretty lame frat boy bar, and it's supposed to be for New York Red Sox fans and people from Boston who live and work here (although it seems to be the caucasian New England faction and not the Washington Heights Dominican faction of BoSox fandom). Believe me, no loss to the New York City nightlife.

Instead, bar owners agreed to a series of restrictions, including not allowing patrons to line up outside to wait to get in, not allowing bars to become overcrowded or patrons to drink too much, and not allowing television crews to do live shots from inside bars. Authorities were worried that live television coverage of bar patrons encourages people to act out as they play to the cameras.

Still doesn't explain why they couldn't find some bar out in the Boston suburbs.

Not only is he overrated, but he's directly responsible for many abhorrent things about modern baseball managing.

The one-inning, "save situation only" closer usage pattern.

The endless lefty/righty bullpen matchups, and the LOOGY.

Managers calling pitches from the bench.

I was lax in quoting original posts so the second part was implicit. There was a minor uproar in this thread a little while ago when the cameras showed a bar in NYC with [edit]Red Sox fans. I was addressing that.

This is ridiculous. I can't watch this garbage anymore. The Cardinals hitters look like they belong in A-ball. They don't have a chance against freaking Derek Lowe. This is going to go down as the stupidest, most boring, anticlimactic World Series of all time, except for Game 1, which was pretty exciting.

Meanwhile, I think that Marquis has thrown as many balls as strikes. The only reason why he got out of the bases loaded jam a couple innings ago is because he got to face Lowe.

I was hoping that the Cardinals would at least put up a fight. At least the Braves and Padres did when they got swept by the Yankees.

Bud Selig in the stadium. Probably pitching a tent right now because his buddy's team will probably win the World Series.

I cant stand that f'ing piece of trash.

I wanted the Cards to bunt, but apparently they don't know how to which is why they haven't so far.

Actually they did...in the first inning. L Walker bunted Womack over to 2nd....he went to third on a ground out by Pujols....where he died a Sloooow death....:)

Why do they "need" a title as you suggest?

I like the song, but this IPod commercial is killing me right now. Seeing Bono's face coming in for a close-up shot is about this close to giving me vertigo...
It must just be me, because I really don't mind the close-up shots :)
What I DO mind is seeing the Cards SUCK ASS.

I'm a fan of keeping with reality. I want to see Leon in a commercial. I don't want to see Leon interviewed during the World Series. Basically, it's another "thing" to validate my hatred of Fox...

Stop showing the fans, FOX! When I go to games, I look at the players, not the fans. What do I want to see the fans for on TV?

What could Ortiz possibly have brought to that conversation Lowe and Vagitek were having?
