Since like a third of my team is Cowboys, they're all on bye this week. :scared:

The next two weeks are going to be tough for the Drunkards since the Bye Week crap is going to take a nice bite out of my team. We'll see....

Also, I finally got my account with the yahoos at Yahoo straightened out, so I'm FINALLY able to get the Stattracker. I don't know where this Customer Service clown was at, but I doubt he was sitting anywhere in the continental United States.

Go Drunkards Go!!!

My opponent has his best player (Randy Moss) on a bye week :D We'll see.

BTW Mike Martz is an awful coach. Jackson was a 1st rounder who's been impressive in limited PT while Faulk looks old. Yet how many carries does Jackson get in week 3? Two! And this against a NO defense that has been torched against the run!

I hope they get embarassed by SF this weekend. My team would improve if Martz were fired immediately. &po'd&

I know, that would be wishful thinking. :(

Now, Martz regrets not running the ball more.

Ok, my curiosity is starting to get the better of me. Who do you guys have on your teams and how many teams are in the league? (btw, yahoo and statracker blow!)

I'm in a 10 team league and I somehow managed to draft a pretty deep team (the (S) means drafted with the intent of being a starter)

QB
P Manning (S)
Farve
Leftwich

RB
J Lewis (S)
Barber (S)
C Martin
L Jordan

WR
Horn (S)
Toomer (S)
Booker (S)
Bennett
Rice

TE
F Jones (S)
Mili (dropped to pick up Glenn)

K
Vanderjagt (S)
Janikowski

D
Dolphins (S)
Jags (traded for Ron Dayne :barf: )

You should have joined Patrick. You dissapoint me. *sadly shakes head*

Anyway, it's 14 teams. We don't have team D, we use individual players, which rocks.

Here's my team. Great coming into the season, except that all of them suck right now, and I'm 1-3.

QB Culpepper (SCORE!)
WR Santana Moss (BUST!)
WR Koren Robinson (BUST!)
RB Fred Taylor (Semi-Bust)
RB Quentin Griffin (Week 1 aside, BUST!)
WR/RB: Drew Bennett (Bling.)
TE Freddie Jones
K Doug Brien or Jay Feely

D Derrick Smith
DB Greg Wesley
DB Fred Thomas (BUST!)
DB Robert Griffith
DL Keith Brooking
DL Akin Ayodele
DL Donnie Edwards

Yep. That's my team of underachieving scrubs. Miserable bastards.

And by the way Patrick, who the hell did you draft with, a bunch of 6 year olds? Sick team dude! :gulp:

I need Greg Wesley to have roughly 47 tackles and 19 interceptions.

Why isn't anyone on my team living up to their potential? Goddamnit.

I thought about it each of the last two years, but I devote a lot of attention to my fantasy teams and I think more than one team per sport would be kind of much for me.

BTW Son, I immediately dismiss any league that cops out and uses team defenses. Those leagues are for children and the mentally unstable.

Well, I thought I had a contending team that night, but if you think about it my team has really gotten a lot better since the draft. Tiki looked like he'd be sharing a lot of time with Dayne, but Dayne has thankfully lived up to his normal standards and Tiki has been unbelievable. And Martin was supposed to be hitting the downside, holding on and losing carries to Jordan, but apparently no one told him that and he's been unbelievable too. So right there I went from having decent backs to the best 3 back combo in the league which is huge. I like skill, but I'll take a little luck any day! Of courese, those two guys will probably be coming back down to earth about the same time that Jamal Lewis gets suspended for accepting a plea bargain in his drug trafficking case, but hey, I'll party now and cry later!

Your team looks good on paper, but you're going to need some of those guys to start playing like they're supposed to. I hate when I draft guys and they underperform. I'd rather have guys get injured or suck just because they suck than to have the underperformers. Those are the guys that make me pull my hair out, because you can't trade them and you are afraid to drop them, so you sit there unable to really do anything other than watch the trainwreck. Better luck in the weeks to come!

Our draft takes a million hours as it is! But I am considering making a proposal to just that next year anyway, but on a smaller scale than you guys do. I might be able to get something like a 3 or 4 man defensive team to pass through.

Here's my "real-life Fantasy Team."

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/cbruce38/teamid_1.htm

We have, I think, 34 roster spots. We get a bunch of Keepers too. We play for a pretty decent money prize and a big 'travelling trophy'.

Individual Defensive players are SO much better than team defenses. It would be like picking a team pitching staff in the "Constant Rule Changes Baseball League" OOOPS, I mean the "NYYFANS Fantasy Baseball League."

Not a bad team at all. 12 teams and 34 rounds though, that must make for a full weekend of drafting! What's the "Off" position, offensive line?

It's a team Offensive Line. We get one point per First Down, one point for every 50 team rushing yards and one point for every 100 team net passing yards. Obviously, it's an EXTREMELY important position in our league, just like in real life.

This year, we have Seattle and GULP! Miami. Luckily, we still won this weekend when we had to play Miami's completely impotent OL. :gulp:

You really did luck out with Tiki and Curtis. Good stuff. And yes, I despise unperperformers as well. You basically said it, can't trade 'em, can't cut 'em, hate to bench them and risk their true talent coming out on the bench. Damn this to hell.

And I lost this week by like 2 points. What a kick in the balls.

Jason can we change the yards for WR and RB next year? 20 running is harder than 15 years by air...we should reverse the scoring there...

 Where were you Bro earlier??? I had a few conversations with Jason about that very stat. IMHDO, it's reversed from what it should be. Of course, I think it should be 1 point for every ten yards for both.

................, now I'm sounding like the 'tards in our Baseball League. :gulp: :gulp:

I'll look into it next year. As for this year, I left it the way it was because I checked values, and with it the way it is now, it was pretty even coming into the season in terms of position value. i.e, the 10th best WR scored as many fantasy pts as the 10th best RB, the 15th best WR scored as many fantasy pts as the 15th best RB, etc. Plus George was the only one who expressed convern over it. We can tweak in the offseason, thanks for letting me know.

Here I go again, sounding like an anus..... :)

RBs should count for more than WRs. There's a 'feature' back on teams and sometimes 3 or 4 starting WRs.

Make both positions for next year 1 point per 10 yards. In the end, it DOES work.

BTW Jason, I think you did a great job getting folks into the League. I LOVE this stuff! :gulp:
