Just kidding.

Drop your heart rate.

He usually monitors this forum after he starts, so I'll take some slight pleasure in having disrupted his neurons. Didn't take much pleasure from the game, save for Andy Phillips !

I think Schilling is overrated.

His season this year cannot compare to Pedro's best seasons. Therefore he is vastly overrated.

I wonder if you'll all still call him "shmoopie" after he just ate the Yanks lunch again...

Haha, good one. :D

I had a thousand things going through my head, imagining how I was going to respond as I clicked the thread.

i'll still call him shmoopie if he pitches a 33-0 record with a 0.00 ERA

Knock yourself out. It should give you some consolation when he shuts you down in the playoffs, too.

Likewise.

You better hope El Duque doesn't turn back into a pumpkin at midnight...

Or he another player to go to the Sox with the job of beating the Yankees and falls flat on his ass like everybody else does from the sox.:smokin:

I hope he self-destructs and buries himself on the mound. Bring on that worn out and beaten down AL West team!

Not a Yanks fan.

Should I worry about Santana turning into a pumpkin? :D

Ah, Twins fan.

Either way, I might be happy with this upcoming series. If the Yanks beat up on you for three games, Oakland could overtake you for second and the Sox can knock them around some more.

OR

The Twins beat up the Yanks and keep the AL East in play for the Red Sox.

Schilling gave up 4 walks, and if not for a Yankee offense giving up, would have given up more than the 2 runs. I think Schilling is an awesome pitcher, but no way do I think he is unhittable. The Yankees have shown they can get on base against him.

Fans of the Yanks, Twins and Sox are all looking at the possibilities right now and how it could go in their favor. However, when it comes down to it: It is going to be a battle to reach the World Series and there isn't much avoiding to be done. Although nobody expects the AL West rep. to get out of the ALDS, you just cannot assume to beat up on a team when October rolls around. Anything can happen.

At least pumpkins don't cry like little girls when they have a bad start in a big game.

Well, maybe if you put the pumpkin in the freezer for a while after it got knocked out of the game, then took it out right before the press conference, which happened to being held in a hot room with no air conditioning. Then you might have some "tears".

Schilling pitched well enough, and got the W today, but I wasn't overly impressed by anything I saw. I am not nervous sending ANY of our top three starters against him if we meet in the ALCS. I'm not saying that I'm sure we'll beat him, but he doesn't make me nervous as a Yankees fan.

No, they just punch the wall and make themselves useless to their team for the rest of the season.

And you better hope Pedro turns back into Pedro and he stops throwing those pumpkins to Yankee batters....

Not really. Both Schilling and Brown were angry after bad performances. Both got emotional about it. One had the sense not to punch a wall and the other didn't.

You're right. Brown should have had a press conference and called his opponents his daddies instead.

You think?

What would Yankees fans rather: Kevin Brown saying during the post game(Pedro did not call a press conference) and say that the Red Sox were his daddies or Kevin Brown walking into the clubhouse, punching a wall and quite possibly making himself useless for the rest of the season and the playoffs?
