Saying that he stopped using them this season but was on them the past few years doesn't give you much credibility, for Bonds is having the greatest offensive season in the history of baseball THIS year.
702 tonight...
The fact that Gagne had Tracy come out there to make it seem like he was being forced to pitch around Bonds was just pitiful.(:D) Soon he'll follow Pedro to the land of self pity and deflated egos. If only he'd throw one of those 99 mph fastballs to him... but we know what happened last time that happened.

I know Chewie, but don't you love it?
People will *try* and say that he used them the last three seasons, but got off this season so he wouldn't be caught. Yet, he's having the best year of his career *this* year. I love it.
OPS+ = 300

So what would you have him do?
Maybe it will take his continued excellent health after he retires.

i'm just saying i dont think it really proves anything .we probbaly will never know for sure .i don't think i'm being unreasonable at all .i mean supposedly he was said by certain people to be on thg the past few years .now if they tested him during that time he wouldve passed because it was undetectable .

1) Barry Bonds ballooned in size and musculature, including gaining 10-15 pounds and growing 2 baseball hat sizes in the same offseason where he started officially associating with Balco, 2) become the only home run hitter to increase his production after the age of 35, and 3) then became implicated multiple times by multiple people in a steroid investigation.
but hey, you must think OJ is innocent too, huh?

Best be careful about allegations - its no-no here
And photographic evidence / observation proves little honestly

Just curious, if he was so worried about this stigma of steroids being over him all season long, how come he didn't get a test at the begining of the year, or in the middle of the year?

I hate Bonds, but this is pure bull................. Check the stats. I don't know where you got this, but it isn't even accurate. Just among recent players, you have Mark McGwire, Andres Galarraga, Steve Finley, Edgar Martinez - all had their best single season home runs marks after the age of 35.
McGwire set his career high at 34 (missing your arbitrary cutoff by one year), and even so he had a higher home run rate at 36. Galarraga also hit 44 in Atlanta at the age of 37, before in creasing again st Coors Field (Which I'm sure you will try to discredit) Finley set new career highs at ages 34, 35, and 39.
It's very easy to be on a cycle of roids and make yourself 'clean' before a test. This test means nothing, they should of done it last year and during spring trainning.
but hey, he's still the best hitter I've ever seen, and roids still cant give you the eye that this man has.

I wonder what his OPS+ is going to be...

That said, this whole thing stinks to high hell. Every part of this "story" points to Bonds being Mr. Roid User. I know he did it, but we can't say it because the only proof that is legit can't be attained. The guy has the best chemists in the world working for him, there's no way they'd let him test positive for the lame-ass MLB drug-tests. We know BALCO distributed illegal steroids, and Bonds PERSONAL trainer had his own key to the building. Bonds hooked Sheffield up with people who gave him the "cream." It just doesn't make sense to me that somehow all this stuff is just happening around Bonds, but he's innocent.

It was Sheffield who said that he had used them unknowingly in the past.
Bonds has no choice about whether or not he's going to be tested. And he can say all he wants about how it's going to clear him but we will never know the results positive or negative.

Yes, I see what HS is saying, but it worded it a bit incorrectly
And Bonds did have a choice in the matter. I am sure anyone can voluntarily take a steroid test. I know if I was being accused of taken a controlled substance, which I didn't, I wouldn't have a problem being tested. He could have cleared his name years ago
