Eli is obviously not ready for prime time. What worries me is with the present state of the OL, Warner won't make it out of the Eagles game in one piece.

It wasn't Eli's fault. It was just that the Jets defense is so dominating. Actually, I didn't see the game but I saw good things in the highlights.

If I were the Giants, I wouldn't even let Eli play behind that awful excuse for an offensive line. The Giants aren't going to have a good season to begin with, no reason to put Eli at risk every snap.

I was at the game, and the Jets seem to have a new defensive philosophy, which I was really pleased with. First, they were blitzing a lot more. They rarely blitzed last year. Second, the corners actually were playing up close to the WRs and thus were breaking up passes. In past years it would be 3rd and 3 and they'd give the WR 7 yards of cushion so he'd just run up 5 yards and make the catch and move the chains. I was very pleased with what I saw, both results wise and philosophy-wise.
