View Full Version : 3,000 for Ripkin

This just in on ESPN:
"Baltimore's Cal Ripken got his 3,000th hit Saturday with a seventh-inning single - his third of the game - off the Twins' Hector Carrasco. Ripken became the 24th player to amass 3,000 hits. He began the season nine hits shy of the magical milestone."

I don't like the guy but he's paid his dues and deserved to reach that milestone.
Congrats Cal. (But I'm glad you didn't do it at the Stadium.)

- They never should have traded Boomer!

Yeah, nice Daddy got him a job, nice Daddy kept his job. Without Daddy.....I dunno. There should be about 15 asterisks next to this one.
