I thought it would be good for people who know a little about sabermetrics to see how they can be used in an argument and, more interestingly, how differing forms can be used each other.

Here's Baseball Primer's preview of the 2004 Red Sox, including a good bit of sabermetric analysis:

What is most interesting, however, is the Comments Section (as it usually is on Primer). Take a look at the way some fans used sabermetrics to pick apart the author's article in a pretty valid way.


Just goes to show that you should do your own research, because even writers for the big sabermetric sites can use the numbers incorrectly.
