View Full Version : Marlins off to their expected start

As expected, the Florida Marlins are off to a 1-2 start so far. Hitting does not seem to be the biggest problem, as they have a team batting average of 277, but their pitching, other than Alex Fernandez, who pitched 7 solid innings for the win on Monday, has been horrific. Compounding the problem are 3 errors in only 3 games, and you have a recipe for disaster.

C-Mike Redmond, CF-Preston Wilson,LF-Cliff Floyd, and 1B-Kevin Millar are all off to good starts behind the plate, with Millar having the lone dinger for the Marlins. Former Yankee Mike Lowell is 3 for 12 with one double and 1 RBI.

This is a very young team. I expect good things from them in the next few years.
