Pop up ads

I know how you feel about pop up ads, so I thought you should know that when I checked my email on this site, which I don't do often I got a opo up ad.
I don't care much, just thought you'd like to know.

Unfortunatly, in order to provide free services (such as email), sometimes I have to rely on third party service providers. The third party's cost for this service is absorbed through running advertising. So the Pop-Up you saw was one of their ads. That's the price we have to pay, I guess.

Advertising company's must think they are effective, I just think they suck.

I think they're the least effective because they pop up in front of somehting else that you want or expect.
BUT
If that's the price then I say it's a very small price to pay and I'll even thank them as I close it out.

I do occasionally click on the banners though because I assume it does you good.
