Danny has not got much ink to date,but he has good stuff and is off to a good start.He was mostly an outfielder,first baseman in college.

He could move up quickly.

LHP DAN BORRELL struck out seven over six solid innings to lead the Yankees to a 3-1 triumph over Charlotte. Borrell allowed a run, three hits and walked a batter for the win. A second-round pick in the 2000 draft, Borrell raised his record to 3-0 with a 0.94 ERA in five appearances. The southpaw, who has limited opponents to a .194 batting average, tops the league in both strikeouts (33) and innings (28 2/3).
