Pitchers and catchers probably report a bit early this year with the early start to the season. I'm guessing it's about three months and three weeks away. That's nothing!

I am already making plans to be there for the 2011 ST . Right now it looks like either the 2nd or 3 rd week of March. We usually leave Newark early on a Fri morning and come home after the following Sunday's game

I wonder who the pitching prospect for the Yankees will be this year that comes out and blows away the competition. This is what the Yanks need to do this year....continue developing good, talented young pitchers who they can rely on in the next few years.

Here's a hint for the "Red X" posts:

Right click on the "X" and choose "Properties" (at the bottom of the list). One will be the "Address (URL)." Highlight it and copy it (right click and "Copy," or press Ctrl + c). Paste it into the address window and hit Enter. You'll see the pic. Now, go back to the page you left. You should see the pic there too now (because it is in your cache).

If you use Firefox, you won't see a "Red X" ... you won't see anything. If you know there should be a picture there, you can do this: Hit "Reply with quote" and make sure your editor mode is "plain text," so you can see the code. Copy the URL of the image that you can't see, and proceed as above. Same results.

My wife's started watching hockey again this year (ESPN video streaming), and with the cricket in Australia, we've kind of got year-round coverage in sports we follow. But it's not the same without the baseball in there.

Alas, yes. Look at that poor ravaged body. The later photo would be of him leaning on Bob Feller's bat as he emerged from the dugout for the last time. The bat is, I believe, in the Feller Museum.
